<item><title>UK  Equine Social Community Site</title><description>The company owns the multimedia social community site targeting the 2Billion equine leisure market. Launched in Oct08 the site has grown fast, especially in the last 9 months  By Oct09 the site had 3,000 members which has grown to over 8,000 members today and all on a marketing budget of less than 25,000. The company is now looking for 300,000 in equity finance to scale and commercialise the operation. 

The company plans to generate revenue from three areas. 

1Shares in revenue generated from selling good products such as National Equine Crime Database, Horse video analysis and equine related financial service products such as insurances using a proven affiliate website format and provider.  
 
2Membership fees generated from an offline equestrian club offering attractive discounts to events and equestrian products as well as bespoke equestrian events  circa 50 p.a. per member 

3Five mini sites adjunct to the social community site centred on the core areas of spend Horses, Transportation, Jobs, Property, and Getaways. The Company intends to launch the robot cleaning product, initially aimed at the healthcare sector where costs of operating hospital cleaning staff are enormous. It is estimated that the Return on Investment for the hospital alone could be within 6 months and hospital contractors could yield even greater cost reductions.

The robotic platform has strong IPR based on the way the software communicates with the hardware. The product is a special cleaner designed to scrub, clean and disinfect a floor area where heavy use generates a hazardous environment of bugs and germs. The product will be able to navigate, clean and define where it has cleaned in a systematic way. The audittype report Post use will enable hospital administrators to defend their position when litigation is received from patients catching secondary infection after visiting the hospital premises. Various accessories, such as camera and hazard awareness together with onboard text alert to a central command point for special investigation, will provide additional revenue.

The market is huge. There are 1,400 hospitals in the public sector alone within the UK and a further 3,000 across Europe. Secondary markets would include schools and public arenas such as libraries, exhibition halls and airports etc. To date, representation of the possibility of the products launch has generated over 70 active enquiries and requests for demonstration.

The Company is seeking to raise 500,000, initially, to prepare the product for market, and a further 500,000 to launch it.  If just 10 of the hospitals made aware of this product ordered just 2 units each the first twoyear turnover would reach 3.3m with a pretax profit of 1.8m.

The device is now developed as a laboratory device, and two different versions of the device will now be finalised for use in the two markets. 
For the veterinary market, the device will be made robust enough to be used in a stable by a veterinarian or horse owner or trainer, and subsequently beta testing will be carried out on horses to confirm the design. The company will then order tooling to enable manufacturing and assembly by a subcontractor to start early next year, and the company will then start some direct selling in the UK and negotiating distribution agreements for the rest of the world. 
The human version of the device will again need further development to make it robust enough to be used in GPs surgeries, or in patients homes so that they can monitor their condition. Substantial clinical trials and accreditations will then be needed before launch, which is planned for 2011. Again the company plans some direct selling and to negotiate distribution agreements overseas.
The company has obtained substantial grants and shareholder support totalling nearly 400k, and now needs up to a further 100k of equity to get the products to market. One patent has been granted and further applications are in progress. 
An additional strength of the plan is that as well as the initial sales of the device, consumables will be needed as long as the devices are in use, and will be ordered through the company.
